TibetanGold™ Organic White (Silver Needle) Tea

Starting at: $5.00

•  White tea is similar to green tea except that it's been slightly roasted (heated).

•  White tea brews to a pale yellow/light red color, and has a slightly sweet flavor with no 'grassy undertones' which are sometimes associated with green tea.

•  White tea has the lowest caffeine content of all teas and is very light in color and aroma.

•  Flavonoids (polyphenols) are a class of constituents known for their anti-oxidant properties. Research shows that black and green teas have similar amounts of flavonoids, but they differ in the types of flavonoids present. Recently white tea's been touted as having higher levels of flavonoids polyphenols, and healthy alkaloids.

•  White Tea is generally more effective than green tea in inhibiting mutagenicity (mutagenicity is the break-up of DNA, a result of unrepaired/misrepaired DNA damage and an early step in the process leading to cancer)
